Today we started our new history topic linked to how lives have changed over the last 70 years. This afternoon we focused on music, both the way it was listened to and the music that was popular during the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s. The children loved getting up and having a dance to some real classics! We’ll be exploring more recent decades next week. Please do comment on music that you loved when you were teenagers and we can have a listen in school.
Harvey loved telling us about this and how people used to listen to music. We enjoy music from lots of decades when we have kitchen discos at home – T.Rex (Ride a White Swan), Rednex (Cotton Eye Joe), Eiffel 65 (Blue) and more recently Bastille (Distorted Light Beam).
