Recently, we’ve been extremely busy in Grayling 2! Last week was healthy week and the children enjoyed our morning wake-up sessions on the playground where they had a go at zumba and yoga. We also made a healthy cucumber and yoghurt dip and the children loved cutting and trying celery, carrots and peppers.

In P.E., we were very lucky to be able to have a go at archery. The children had so much fun, learnt how to hold a bow and arrow and even had a go at aiming at a target to score points.

We also had a very exciting trip to the pond as part of out literacy unit on Bog Baby. In pairs, children had a go at pond dipping and were amazed at everything we found (some of us even caught some froglets!) We were even lucky enough to catch a glimpse of a family of toads hiding in the reeds!

This week, the children have become Secret Agents and have been completing some top secret maths and reading jobs! The children have enjoyed creating their own Secret Agent names and uniforms and have had a go at some codebreaking and finger printing in between jobs.

Everyone should be very proud of how hard they’ve worked over the past couple of weeks – I certainly am!
